OFFICIAL REGULATIONS – POGĂNIȘ BIKE
1. Organizers and purpose of the event
The Pogăniș Bike event is organized by ASOCIATIA PATHFINDER VISION with the support of Pogăniș Town Hall and Nițchidorf Town Hall.
The event aims to promote movement, recreational cycling, an active and healthy lifestyle, and community spirit through participation in outdoor sporting and recreational activities.
By registering, each participant declares that they have read, understood, and accepted these regulations and that participation is at their own risk.
2. Conditions of participation
2.1. Participation is permitted for persons who:
- have registered through the official form;
- are physically fit to take part in the route;
- have a bicycle in good technical condition.
2.2. Participation by minors
Participation by minors is permitted only with the written consent of a parent or legal guardian and only under their direct supervision throughout the entire event.
2.3. The organizer reserves the right to refuse a person’s registration in case of non-compliance with these rules, inappropriate conduct, or risk to their own safety or that of other participants.
3. Categories and special rules
3.1. The event is recreational and participatory, aimed at the community, families, children, and adults.
3.2. The parent or guardian bears full responsibility for the minor’s safety throughout the event.
3.3. Participants must follow the designated route and the instructions of organizers and volunteers.
4. Registration and refunds
4.1. Registration is valid only after it has been confirmed by the organizer.
4.2. In exceptional situations, the organizer may offer the possibility of transferring a registration or other alternative solutions; these are facilitations, not contractual obligations.
5. Declaration of participation at own risk and medical matters
5.1. By registering, the participant declares that they are medically fit for physical exertion.
5.2. The organizer is not liable for injuries, medical issues, worsening of pre-existing conditions, or any situation arising from participation in the event.
5.3. Consulting a physician before participation is recommended.
6. Conduct of the event
6.1. Participants must comply with:
- instructions from organizers and volunteers;
- route markings;
- start and finish areas;
- instructions from authorities and security personnel.
6.2. The organizer may modify the route, start time, or event programme depending on:
- safety;
- instructions from authorities;
- unforeseen circumstances.
6.3. The organizer may stop or postpone the event if it poses risks to participants.
7. Safety and equipment
7.1. Participants are responsible for their equipment. The following is recommended:
- wearing a protective helmet;
- using a bicycle in good technical condition;
- wearing clothing suitable for the weather.
7.2. The organizer is not liable for loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings.
7.3. Minors taking part must be supervised at all times by an adult family member.
8. Conduct and fair play
8.1. The following are strictly prohibited:
- aggressive behaviour;
- offensive language;
- consumption of alcohol or prohibited substances;
- obstructing other participants;
- environmental damage or discarding waste outside designated areas.
8.2. Participants who do not comply with these rules may be removed from the event.
9. Data processing and image rights
9.1. By participating, participants consent to the processing of personal data necessary to organize the event.
9.2. Photos and video footage from the event may be used by the organizer for promotion, communication, and information purposes, without financial claims or subsequent individual notice.
10. Force majeure and cancellation of the event
In the event of force majeure (severe weather, restrictions imposed by authorities, major risk situations, etc.), the organizer may:
- postpone the event;
- suspend the event;
- modify logistical elements or the programme.
11. Acceptance of the regulations
By registering, each participant confirms that:
- they have read and understood the regulations;
- they accept them in full;
- they participate at their own risk;
- they agree to all provisions concerning safety, data processing, and the running of the event.
SPECIFIC RULES
1. Participants
The event is open to anyone whose state of health allows them to take part in the Pogăniș Bike route.
Assessing health and fitness is the responsibility of each participant or, where applicable, their parents or legal guardian.
Participants are recommended to:
- consult a physician before taking part;
- hold accident insurance where appropriate;
- check their bicycle’s technical condition before the start.
Each registered person agrees to participate at their own risk. The organizer and its partners are not liable for any injuries and/or damage caused by participation in this event.
2. Participant number
Participant numbers will be assigned when the participation kit is collected; each participant will receive a distinct number.
It must be displayed visibly on the bicycle or clothing for the entire duration of the event.
3. Sports equipment
Participants are advised to wear comfortable sports clothing suitable for the weather.
Wearing a protective helmet is recommended for all participants.
4. Withdrawal from participation
Participants may withdraw at any time by contacting the Organizer directly or on site.
5. Stopping / withdrawal from the activity
The organizer reserves the right to stop a participant in the following cases:
- they have been injured;
- their physical condition no longer allows them to continue the route;
- they are not adequately equipped;
- they endanger their own safety or that of other participants.
Any participant who can no longer continue or no longer wishes to continue must inform organizers or volunteers.
6. Force majeure
In exceptional circumstances that threaten the safe running of the event (extreme weather, pandemics, conflict, restrictions, etc.), the event may be postponed or cancelled.
7. Protection of personal data
The organizer undertakes to comply with applicable law on the protection of personal data and confidentiality.
8. Copyright and image rights
By registering for the event, participants authorize the organizer and its partners to use photo, audio, and video materials produced at the event solely to promote it.
9. Right to refuse participation
The organizer reserves the right not to allow participation by persons who:
- are violent or aggressive;
- have consumed alcohol or prohibited substances;
- possess dangerous objects that may affect the safety of the event.
10. Medical assistance
Medical assistance will be provided in accordance with applicable law for the duration of the event.
Additional instructions from marshals on the day apply at all times.
